Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville, SC

There is a place for everyone who desires to be a part of this vibrant ministry of Trinity Church. All members and friends of the congregation are welcome to participate in a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles as well as small group and solo opportunities. At the time of the printing of this document, many of the listed activities are being evaluated with an eye toward strengthening and enhancing their potential. While the current plan for each ensemble is listed below, members are encouraged to contact David Rhyne, Trinity’s Director of Music Ministries, for additional information and possible changes or additions to the schedule as the program year progresses.

PRIMARY CHOIR - K-5 and Grade 1

Rehearsals: Sundays, 5:00-6:00 pm

A training choir emphasizing singing, music learning, and worship, this beginning group begins its rehearsals on September 12. Opportunities for singing include participating in worship every 4 to 6 weeks and singing for special events throughout the church year. Parents are encouraged to assist on a rotating basis.

JUNIOR CHOIR - Grade 2 – Grade 5

Rehearsals: Sundays, 5:00-6:00 pm

Building on the experience of the Primary Choir, singers continue learning about singing, music, and worship. Rehearsals begin on September 12 and all students, regardless of any past experience, are welcome. Opportunities for singing include participating in worship every 4 to 6 weeks and singing for special events throughout the church year. Parents are encouraged to assist on a rotating basis.

YOUTH CHOIR - Grade 6 – Grade 12

Rehearsals: Sundays, 5:00-6:00 pm

A mixed ensemble for all members and friends in grades 6-12. No prior choral experience is needed and all are welcome. Rehearsals begin on September 12. Opportunities for singing include participating in worship every 3 to 4 weeks and singing for special events throughout the church year. A musical will be planned for the Spring.

TRINITY CHORISTERS - High School – Adults

Rehearsals: To be determined

An adult, non-auditioned choir which provides music and worship leadership for the 9:00 am Sunday worship service. All are welcomed.

TRINITY CHORALE - High School – Adults

Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 pm

An adult, non-auditioned choir which provides music and worship leadership for the 11:15 am Sunday worship service. All are welcomed.

HANDBELL CHOIR - High School – Adults

Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 pm
